Prediction of tectonically deformed coal by AVO technology: a case study

摘要:

构造煤预测对于煤矿生产安全具有重要意义.本文根据实测煤样弹性参数建立AVO正演模型,通过研究构造煤PG属性交会图分布规律发现,沿背景趋势线方向指示了煤层破坏程度,据此提出煤层破坏程度指示因子预测构造煤分布.通过与常规伪泊松比识别构造煤方法进行对比,发现基于交会图分析计算得到的煤层破坏程度指示因子与构造煤发育具有更好的一致性,区分不同结构煤体的能力也有所提高.

Abstract:

The prediction of tectonically deformed coal is of great significance to mining safety. Based on the measured elastic parameters of coal samples, we built a set of AVO forward models. Through studying the distribution characteristics of P and G attribute in cross plot, we found that the degree of coal seam deformation is indicated along the direction of background trend line and defined an indicator of coal seam deformation degree to predict the distribution of tectonically deformed coal. The fracture of tectonic coal is more developed than the primary coal which leads to higher Poisson’s ratio. Therefore, the pseudo-Poisson’s ratio derived from Shuey equation can also effectively identify tectonic coal. Case study shows that the coal seam deformation degree indicator is more consistent with coal structure and distinguishes it better.
