智绘地质——一种基于MapGIS的地质编图智能化系统

iMapower: an intelligent system for geological mapping based on MapGIS

摘要:

传统地质编图重复性工作量大、生产周期长、数据质量难以保证.为了提升地质编图的工作效率、提高数据质量,中国地质调查局瞄准国际地质信息化领域一直关注的智能地质编图问题,将MapGIS、制图标准、计算机软件、数据库、人工智能等技术有机融合,研制了一款地质调查综合智能编图系统——智绘地质(iMapower).智绘地质以地质专家知识为主线,通过专家有限参与的人机交互处理模式,对原地质图数据进行多种智能化的地图综合处理(如合并、简化、融合、圆滑等),能辅助快速完成大数据量的各种比例尺的地质图缩编及专题图制作.智绘地质在新版150万和250万地质图生产中使用,经实践证明该软件可至少节省65%~75%的编图工作时间,能极大减轻编图人员工作压力,有效提高成果的数据质量.MapGIS版的iMapower已面向全社会提供服务,可为地质调查、资源规划、灾害应急及生态保护等领域的多功能图件编制提供技术支撑.

Abstract:

Traditional geological mapping work is tedious with repeated trivial manual jobs, it often wastes very long time and it is difficult to control its data quality. For improving work efficiency of geological mapping and enhancing the data quality of result data, China Geological Survey paid much attention to the intelligent geological mapping problem focused by foreign geological surveys in geological informatization field. iMapower is developed by integrating MapGIS, mapping standards, software engineering, database and artificial intelligence together. It is an advanced intelligent geological mapping system for geological survey generalization. iMapower employs an interactive work pattern using geological expert knowledge as main line with limited experts’ interaction. This computer-aided application system is able to perform massive different scales geological map generalization and thematic map making through manipulating raw data of original geologic map using various intelligent map generalization algorithms such as merging, simplification, fusion, smoothing, etc. iMapower was used in latest 1.5 million and 2.5 million geological maps compilation work. The production practice shows iMapower can save at least 65 to 75 percent of mapping time, reduce workload of mapping staff sharply and improve data quality significantly. iMapower which based on MapGIS has been published in GeoCloud and it can provide technical services for geological survey, resource planning, geohazard emergency, ecological protection, etc.
