海冰反照率参数化和遥感反演方法及其产品的研究评述

摘要:

反照率是控制地表能量收支的关键地球物理参数之一,海冰作为南北极地区重要的组成部分,海冰反照率的时空变化会对极地地区和全球范围的气候变化、物质平衡以及能量平衡等产生重要的影响.本文系统的总结了海冰反照率的影响因素、海冰反照率的参数化方法和遥感反演方法及产品的研究进展,阐明了各方法的基本原理、特点以及存在的问题等.海冰反照率的影响因素众多,主要受地表冰雪反射特性、太阳天顶角以及大气属性的影响; 参数化方法提供了一种模拟海冰反照率的途径,主要通过取经验定值或建立温度、冰雪厚度以及光谱反照率等参数与海冰反照率的经验关系来进行,但是这种基于特定位置、特定时间以及特定的大气状态下的观测数据运用统计或经验方法建立的参数化方法,适用范围通常有限.遥感反演方法是高时空分辨率获取大范围及长时序海冰反照率的有力手段,主要分为传统的反演方法、直接反演方法以及基于非光学传感器的反演方法;但是遥感反演很容易受到云层的影响,仅能反演晴空下的海冰反照率,而且现有的方法基本都是针对单一传感器设计的,还没有能够联合多源传感器数据反演海冰反照率的方法.基于此,本文展望了未来海冰反照率的研究重点,即开展能够适用于云天空下的、高时空分辨率的以及能够联合多源数据反演海冰反照率的方法研究.

Abstract:

albedo is one of the key geophysical parameters to control the surface energy budget. As an important part of the arctic and Antarctic regions, the temporal and spatial variation of sea ice albedo will have a significant impact on the global and regional climate change, material balance and energy balance. System in this paper summarizes the influence factors of sea ice albedo, sea ice albedo parametric method and the research progress of remote sensing inversion method and albedo products , as well as expounds the basic principle ,characteristics of each method and the existing problems .There are many factors affecting sea ice albedo, which can be attributed to the three aspects: reflection characteristics of surface ice and snow, solar zenith Angle and atmospheric properties. Parameterization methods provide a way to simulate sea ice albedo, which are mainly carried out by taking empirical constant values or establishing the empirical relationship between sea ice albedo and parameters such as temperature, ice thickness and spectral albedo. However, these methods usually have limited applicability because of most of them are based on field data of the specific time, location and atmospheric condition with statistical or empirical methods. Remote sensing satellites is a powerful tool to obtain large scale and long time series sea ice albedo with high space-time resolution. Remote sensing inversion methods can be divided into traditional inversion methods, direct inversion methods and non-optical sensor based inversion methods.The traditional inversion methods usually include the steps of atmospheric correction, BRDF modeling and narrow-width conversion, which are mainly based on the observation data of AVHRR sensor. The direct inversion methods directly use the empirical relationship between the directional reflectivity of the top atmosphere and the surface albedo to carry out the inversion, which reduce the steps of the inversion albedo .The inversion methods of non-optical sensor are conducted by establishing the empirical relationship between passive microwave data and sea ice albedo, which can obtain the sea ice albedo under the cloud sky with low spatial resolution .In addition, remote sensing satellite retrieval albedo is easily affected by clouds and can only retrieve sea ice albedo in clear sky. Moreover, the existing methods are basically designed for a single satellite sensor, and there is no method to invert sea ice albedo with multi-source satellite sensor data .Based on all of these, this paper looks forward to the future research focus of sea ice albedo, that is, to carry out the research of methods which can retrieve sea ice albedo with high spatial and temporal resolution by multi-source satellite data under cloudy sky.
